Part One: Company Profile

You are a Board member of the following company. After much study, the Board has decided to name a new CEO to lead your organization. Given the environment of ongoing change, however, you do not want to make this decision hastily. Before reviewing candidate portfolios, you decide to list ideal CEO characteristics to ensure that your chosen candidate can deal with the changes facing your firm and adhere to your organizational values. Your task is to find the best fit in terms of your firm's values and CEO candidate attributes.

This global organization has experienced many transformational changes during its long history. After years of enhancing Yellow Company's corporate portfolio, acquiring complementary divisions, and developing the existing workforce, the challenge is great: Lead into the next decade without losing momentum while maintaining the existing base of clients, innovation, and employees. Years have been spent refining the organization through cost cutting, technological advancements, and mergers and acquisitions. Yellow needs a leader that can carry the existing organization into the future while looking to the horizon for opportunities to advance.
