Managerial accounting is the foundation of a business. Comprehending and maintaining a strong foundation in managerial accounting is imperative for the success of a business, whether it is a startup business or an already established foundation.  Managerial accounting can be defined as a set of decision making tools that are in place to manage and account for all many different aspects of the finances of a company (Datar, Rajan & Hornagen, 2013).  Having the ability and the correct tools to do anything creates strong foundation and a clear path for companies to be successful and transparent.
