Treatment Interventions

Substance use disorders can be treated with individual and/or group therapy, through inpatient or residential treatment centers, with intensive outpatient therapy, through a partial hospital program, with case management, by being med compliant, with various recovery support services, or in a 12-step program (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 2016).  In order to be successful and give a client the best opportunity to reach their desired outcomes, a healthcare professional, should be educated and have knowledge of the most up to date treatments today.
