Compare and contrast the criteria for successful crime reporting programs in the United States.

Major Crime reporting is the compilation of crime statistics over a large area; normally they use data from law enforcement agencies nationwide in order to produce national data. The local systems used in your home town or city may not qualify as a major crime reporting system. An example of a major crime reporting system would be the Uniformed Crime Reports (UCR).
