The U.S. Federal and Drug administration, or FDA is a government agency that is relied on for protecting U.S. citizens from harmful substances of commonly used goods, such as human and veterinary drugs, biological products, and cosmetics. The FDA is responsible for the invention and innovation of regulations for the safety of these goods. Through these regulations the FDA promises to protect and promote the health of citizens. The FDA plays a strong role in food safety and quality. The FDA provides consumers with elaborate food safety and quality information.
