Training and Development

Training and development is the most important functional area in an organization. It is the department which fulfills the need of training in nay skilled or semi-skilled areas of work. When work is performed there is often a gap between what was thought and what actually happens, to bridge this gap training and coaching generally comes into picture. The training not only rectifies the old mistakes but also paves way for betterment and improvement for the future.

The term training and development is used interchangeably though both these tern have different meaning and scope. The training is a short term process whereas development is long-run and has a wider scope.
