A1. There are many different diverse groups of students throughout the United States. One of the many diverse groups in the school systems are ELL students, or English language learner students. According to Penn State, English language learners are a population of diverse students who are learning English in school. These students come from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds (2018). ELL students come from homes where English is not the primary language spoken.
