A1. Healthcare Problem: The healthcare problem that I have chosen to focus on is nurse burnout, predominantly its prevention. Burnout is a physical, mental, and emotional state which is caused by chronic overwork and a substantial lack of job fulfillment and/or support. (Same-Day Surgery, 2017)
A2. Significance of Problem: The significance of this issue is tricky, due to the fact that what is considered burnt out for one nurse, may not necessarily be burnout for another nurse. The result is many times the same. It can result in unhappiness with the work, with the patients, and can ultimately lead to unhappiness within themselves and within their home lives.
