A1. Employees Rights and Responsibilities The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERA) was a law put into place in 1994. This law prohibits discrimination and requires prompt reemployment of those who have served or are serving in the armed forces. This requirement includes that when a person is reemployed they are to be reemployed into the position they would have been had they not been mobilized.
