Part A
Rome: The first empire I will be speaking about today is Rome, more specifically the Tiber River. This Geographical feature impacted the Romans in many positive ways, it became a trade post for the Romans and neared farmland and aided in their founding of agriculture which is what their economic system was primarily founded upon. With the soil they were able to grow wheat and barley, which used for both personal consumption as well as barter and payment for government taxes. The Tiber River allowed the Romans to develop, especially since conquering the entire Italian peninsula they were able to fully thrive. (Acrobatiq, 2017)
