Medicare is the biggest federal government program that provides medical insurance for individuals 65 and older that are eligible for social security. This program is for the disabled and for people suffering from end-stage renal disease. There are several million beneficiaries to the program. This program is financed by the government and in most sectors of the industry. Most of the people on Medicare have some type of chronic illness. Some of these have multiple illnesses and these illnesses that can cause them die at any time. Medicare is initiated to help take care of individuals of advanced age and others that have cognitive or physical needs.
