Formative-Assessment Data The data collected in this formative assessment shows that the average score for the class was a 76%. Students were expected to score at least an 83% by answering five out of the six questions successfully. Therefore the average score for the class was lower than the level of mastery. Thirteen out of the thirty students scored less than the 83% required. Consequently, the data concludes that just over half of the class received a mastery level grade. Two of those students scored a 100%, so seventeen students scored exactly what was needed, an 83%, equivalent to a C grade, to show mastery.
