Plan Summary An action school my school organization implemented was to improve the rate of chronic absenteeism. One of the first measures the principal took to improve the schools attendance was to set up an attendance committee last school year. The attendance committee is comprised of the three administrators, seven teachers, the head secretary, the two School Counselors and one Social Worker who were all asked to be part of this committee. The attendance committee meets quarterly to discuss attendance data, identify attendance trends and discuss effectiveness of the measures in place.
