A1- Geographical Features Greece: The most valuable geographical resource for the Greek civilization was the Mediterranean Sea. Earlier civilizations were built on rivers and fertile farming land; however, the Greek civilization was not as lucky. The land there was primarily rocky valleys that only allowed a few crops to grow, such as grapes and olives. The reason the Mediterranean Sea was so important was because it allowed the settlers to trade through the waterways. They were able to trade their olives and grapes for other staple grains such as wheat. (Acrobatiq, 2017)
