Folkways are the customs and practices, mores are the norms, and taboos are the very important and deeply held mores that reflect society's core values(Korgen & Furst, 2012). Folkways are all about etiquette and manners like covering your mouth when you sneeze and not chewing with your mouth open or talking with food in your mouth. Mores take on a much more important role, and are usually backed by law. An example of these would be paying your debts and obeying traffic rules. Lastly are taboos, which tend to be on the extremes of the spectrum. Examples would be polygamy or maybe covering body with tattoos and piercings.
