When I was in junior high school I was a member of the foot ball team and the National Beta Club. My junior high school football team was a social club that I viewed as an outlet to relieve everyday stress. Football was based on camaraderie and teamwork and focused on winning football games. On the other hand, the National Beta Club is a formal organization that promotes academic achievement, leadership, character, and service.
After reviewing the differences listed in the graph on page 127 of the text, the main differences in my junior high school football team and the National Beta Club are the activities in which they partake, the ways in which members are chosen or added, and the focus of the group itself....
