According to p. 117 if the textbook, what are the four characteristics that define intimate relationships? Why does building relationships involve a degree of risk?

The four characteristics that define intimate relationships are behavioral interdependence, need for fulfillment, emotional attachment, and emotional availability. Behavioral interdependence is referring to the way the two lives intertwine together when building upon a relationship whether platonic or something more serious. Need fulfillment is the act of fulfilling psychological needs in an intimate relationship. Emotional attachment is the strong emotional bond that you may feel with another person. Emotional availability is, in my opinion, loving yourself so that you are available to love someone...
