Right to Privacy The rights to privacy of American citizens were at stake from the beginning. The Founding Fathers of the Constitution put in place the 4th Amendment to assure that no individual will have their rights violated by any authorities without a valid reason. With the appearance of technology there is always a possibility of being exposed on social media, by anyone who has a recording device, or can take pictures without consent. Since technology is evolving rapidly, the laws need to evolve as well when it comes to civil rights, and protecting innocent individuals privacy.
