What elements of Taoism, Confucianism, and Shinto are characteristic of Eastern religious traditions studied in this course?

Daoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism have collectively been called the three doctrines (Molloy, 2010). These three doctrines have had a tremendous cumulative effect on Chinese culture throughout Chinese history. Buddhism is a religion that was founded in India but went to China along the trade route known as the Silk Road. Daoism and Confucianism are two belief systems that have their roots and origins inside of China and developed in the same areas during the same time periods (Molloy, 2010).
