Why do you think the judge chose to be unethical? Judge Blackburnes unethical conduct was clearly self-motivated. Her internalized desire to do what was ethical was not there. A judge has a lot of power within the criminal justice system and maybe she is just tired of being a judge. Maybe, she has some sort of personal interest in the case. If that is the case then there would be a conflict of interest with her presiding over his case...
