Week 3 DQ 1 What is the difference between episodic & semantic memory? Provide a specific example of both in your response.

Episodic & semantic are both types of long-term memory. Episodic is an individuals personal experiences, therefore they have information on things which have occurred in the past & where they have occurred. Semantic memories are details obtained through other means such as education & outside influences. Episodic memory is easier to lose & it is less useful than semantic memory (Robinson-Riegler & Robinson-Riegler, 2008). My personal experience of episodic memory was the first day of work as a 911 dispatcher which was the 2st October 1997 at a specific location.
