PSY 490 DQ 1 Week 1 Do you think that theoretical unification within psychology is feasible? Explain your response.

After careful consideration and reading the views of my classmates, I do not think that theoretical unification in the field of psychology is practical. Like our discussion statement says, psychology is a diverse discipline that assesses mental functioning and human behavior.

Psychology is also a discipline that continues to advance over the course of time with new treatment methods, new compiled data from research, and new information acquired regarding human behavior. The knowledge obtained is a product of different cultures, developing technologies and an acceptance of methods.

If anything at all, I would say that theoretical unification is at best...
