How and what attracts us to others is interpersonal attraction. As a military student, I am continuously judging individuals when I initially meet them because I am constantly evaluating my placement in society. What initiated my interest to research social attraction was my weakness for the opposite sex. I was and still am inquisitive as to what draws me to all women and towards certain type of the opposite sex. Originally, I thought I was attracted only to women from a physical appeal in an initial meeting, but I found there is more to the question.
