Kurt Cobain was the lead singer of a group named Nirvana in the late 1980's and early 1990's. He had many psychological factors contributing to his death by suicide on 05 April 1994. This paper will explain the differences of heredity and the environment on Kurt Cobain's psychological development, family issues that effected the psychologically development on growth and adjustment, and explain his behavior with a theoretical approach to identify his achievements and downfalls. Two of the theories on personality that will help explain Kurt's actions during his life are conflict and ambiance, and compromise formations. Some of the events that affected his psychological state were the divorce of his parents, forming a musical group called Nirvana, marriage to Courtney Love, birth of a daughter, and drug abuse that will be discussed in the content of this paper.
