Schizophrenia is a disorder that has been studied and analyzed for years in hopes of finding a cure that seems just out of reach. Advancements in the medical and science fields have yielded a substantial understanding of the disorder along with medications that make the disorder easier to live with. After all, a normal life is the ultimate goal while providing the patient with the ability to achieve this type of lifestyle. Schizophrenia is more than a one sided problem. The different aspects of this disorder require an understanding of the parts of the brain that are affected, the neural basis, symptoms, causes, and drug therapies.
