Stereotypical Development

In my life my mother raised three children on her own for many years. Family and close friends were the upmost importance. Not only that but to accept all kinds of people no matter what their ethnicity.

Religion wasn't a big part until I was about twelve or thirteen. Then it became a huge part through my teen years. I learned many core values, the importance of study, how to approach strangers, and how to speak in front of an audience. These experiences were definitely on the nurture side of Brofenbrenner's theory that includes: "Themicrosystemconsistsofourprimarydailyenvironment:family,school,neighborhood,religious, andgroupaffiliations." (Bronfenbrenner,1979)
