My first response as a male was that the child was probably just being himself. When I fully comprehended the question I concluded that Sally and Bob probably have a rebellious son on their hands. They should calmly and firmly take control of the situation before Jimmy gets too much older and grows to be disrespectfully to his parents. Television could be one of the issues, so perhaps walking in the park would be an activity that would benefit the child.
