Over the next 48 hours, the authorities searched high and low in the hopes that she would be found still alive. Hundreds of volunteers gave up their time and energies to find the missing girl and figure out who could have taken her? (Romano, Tricia) Elizabeth Olten often played in the woods near her home, but was so scared of the dark; because of this fear she was home prior to 7:00pm every night.
