A nursing theory that I am influenced by is Florence Nightingales environmental theory. The environment has a strong influence on the patients outcome. The environment includes noise, air, ventilation, light, cleanliness, nutrition, bedding, variety, sturdy building, and not chatting hopes and advice (Petiprin, 2016). These are basic human needs and without them a patient wont properly heal, and it is my goal to do my best to provide these to every one of my patients daily to help them recover from illness.
