Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund

Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund is was created to increase the number of openly LGBT elected officials by engaging support and donors for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual (LGBT) candidates. Their belief is that democracy works best for LGBT when the community reflects the political leadership at all an openly LGBT elected official in the government will help the LGBT community to ensure that they are understood and needs are met.

On May 1, 1991, the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund were formally created and their mission is, "change the face and voice of America's politics and achieve equality for LGBT American by increasing the number of openly LGBT officials at all levels of government."...
