When dealing with the Euthyphro and Socrates dialogue, I believe it is all about if moral acts are willed by the gods because they are good/right or are they good/right because they are willed by the gods. The entire conversation stems from Socrates trying to decide if Euthyphro is right in taking his father to court for the death of a servant, and if he can prove it, then it would settle the suit taken against him by Meletus. Throughout the dialogue, Euthyphro tries, in vain, to explain piety to Socrates, which I will show now.
