Week 2 - Discussion Question 2

Of the three early metaphysical ideas dualism, materialism, and idealism, I find the most logic in dualism. Dualism was basically invented by Plato and suggests that everything is either physical or mental and that many things, such as human beings,have both a physical and mental element (Moore & Bruder, 2008, p. 105). I find dualism to be the most logical because I have always had a strong feeling that all living things have both physical and mental(spiritual) attributes. I also believe that these physical and mental attributesusually work together. For example, I always think abouta specific action before I physically carry it out. The thought may only last for a split second, but it is required to complete the action.
