Week 2 - Discussion Question 1

All four philosophers had interesting insight; although, it isapparent that some of these philosophers were more influenced by personal experience. I would have to say that my views are closest to those of David Hume.

Hume's idea to reject all belief and reasoning and to accept no opinion as more probable than anothermakes sense to me. I find Hume's declaration thata true skeptic will always doubt their own doubts to be right on (Moore & Bruder, 2008, ). I find his ideas to be very close to those of Rene' Descartes, who also believed that truths could be discovered with skepticism and by doubting everything (p. 108).
