Papers must be 300-400 words; 12 point Times New Roman, black ink font

Papers must have one inch margins all around and be double spaced

Papers must include information from the textbook and properly cite the book

Papers can only have 1 direct quotation (20 words or less) - points will be deducted if there are more

Students must select a different topic for each paper and cannot submit multiple papers on the same topic

All papers must be accompanied by a copy of the article the student selects

Papers must include a brief summary of the article they are based on (no more than 2-3 sentences), a discussion of how the article relates to topics in the course and is relevant to criminal justice, and the student's personal views/opinions on the topic in the article

All papers must be submitted by the deadline in the course syllabus
