This case study is a difficult, but a common scenario within the hospital system today. Mr. P is an aging 76 year old with multiple health problems. He is treated frequently for CHF symptoms and has been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure. He is trying to cope with the lifestyle changes due to his medical problems. He does not have a support system other than his wife who is suffering from caregiver burnout. Finances are also a stressor for Mr. P and his wife.
