Network Topology and Wiring Network topologies are structures or mappings of systems on a network. Networking topologies are organized by the way in which information "flows" across a network. Network topology can also be defined as the configuration and connection of nodes. At the core of the Network exam and networking concepts in general is the idea of topology, or more specifically, the manner in which data is exchanged over the network.
