A. Mr. Fowler has been emailing Sashas parents when her assignments are not completed. By doing this directly Sasha is losing the chance to be self-aware and self-correct the behavior. Mr. Fowler could instead come up with a system that required Sasha to inform her parents that her assignments are not completed. This would make her aware of the behavior and hopefully prompt her to change.

B. Placing Sashas desk near his work station and directing her to stay on task does not promote self-management. Having her right there and constantly redirecting her makes her likely to rely on him for management. Instead, Mr. Fowler should arrange the seating for best practice and make sure that she is responsible for her own time management by not over directing her to stay on task.
