My personal literary canon

throughout the years my taste in literature has taken some turns. My earliest experiences with reading novels were centered on science fiction and fantasy. I think the movie star wars had a profound effect on my imagination as well as my desire to experience the writings of various authors. I also read the "lord of the rings" series by tolkien as a young lad of about nine or ten years old, and although some of the writing was a bit complex for me at that age, I completed the trilogy nevertheless through sheer perseverance.
