How can organizational restructuring enable specific types of business attain competitive advantage in a changing market? Provide specific examples.

Organizational restructuring helps a business in creating and placing people in areas were they can be more useful and provide greater performances. Restructuring usually occurs to meet the needs of the business in changing times or to deal with new innovations or economic situation. An example is the hospital i work, we just finished having major restructuring, in the sense that some department were eliminated and/or combined with others departments to provide better assistant.
