This time, the exercise calls for you to form an assessment of your organization.

Wright and McMahan (1992), drawing on Barney's (1991) resource-based theory of the firm, contended that human resources can provide a source of sustained competitive advantage when four basic requirements are met. Read this paper and write a short paper relating to the following points:

1. Identify the four basic requirements that are mentioned in Wright and McMahan (1992) article.

2. Look at your organization and try to assess whether or to what extent the four basic requirements are met.

3. Discuss the implication of that to the success of your organization.

4. Suggest ways to add improvements to this HR process.

Your paper should be short (2 pages ) not including the cover sheet, references, and assessment sheet) and to the point. You are expected to deal with these issues in an integrated fashion, rather than treating them as a series of individual questions to be answered one by one and left at that.
