LFT1 Task 5 Student, Stakeholder, and Market Focus for Educational Leaders (Task 5) LFT1 Task 5 Event Description Each Spring, our school district holds an event known as the Empty Bowls Festival. As part of this event, a district-wide food drive is held to collect nonperishable food items for the local food bank. In order to promote the event within the district, a competition is held between all elementary schools and all secondary schools, with the schools in each category who collect the most items receiving a trophy to keep until the next year. In previous years, Nelson Middle School has only collected items through the Visual Arts classes, resulting in collection averages of around 300 items.
