Law Enforcement and Courts Law enforcement need to be seen as those that want to help, those that will protect you and not harm you. Especially with all the negative publicity law enforcement is getting due to recent incidents. My recommendation is for the local law enforcement agencies hold family oriented events. One event could be a free self-defense class that is open to anyone interested. This event would serve 3 purposes. First it would provide members of the community with the know-how on how to protect their selves. The second purpose is this gives the members of the community the chance to actually get to know some members of the local law enforcement.
