Intellectual and Digital Property Dispute: Apple v. Samsung

Introduction

Real property deals with land and property together as a whole; for example the purchase of a home would be considered real property (Cheeseman, 2013). Personal property is everything associated with real property such as curtains in the home (Cheeseman, 2013). Intellectual property consists of patent, copyrights, and ideas of the mind. Methods of dealing with the disputes arising from theft of intellectual property include The Uniform Trade Secrets Act, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and No Electronic Theft Act (Cheeseman, 2013).
