Instructional Unit of High School Public Speaking Instructional Problem Summary Needs Analysis Findings A needs analysis was conducted on the students and was found to show a need within the instruction of public speaking and presentation skills. Three different instruments were used as a comparative tool. These instruments were a pretest, a student survey, and previous term grades. The pretest was given to the student initially without any instruction or guidance and graded by a different teacher to avoid bias, as I have taught these students before and know what they are capable of.
