The instructional setting is with an after-school education center for K-12 students.

B. Discuss an instructional problem you identified in your setting.

The identified problem is with the high-school aged group lacking public speaking skills. This could be attributed to the school setting (public, private, home school) the students come from and if public speaking is a taught requirement, or from a lack of confidence in teens.

B1. Develop an instructional goal statement for the problem discussed in part B.

The goal is to have all students score a minimum of 70% on their final assessment at the end of the communication course.
