Introduction to Curriculum Theory, Task Two Western Governors University

Introduction My current classroom instructional setting is a first-grade classroom of twenty-two students. My class is comprised of twelve girls and ten boys. Of my 22 students, one is a selective mute and has an IEP for reading/writing and one student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for speech services which impede her learning and ability to communicate effectively. I also have two young students that frequently demonstrate behaviors of Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). My school is in a very wealthy community in Las Vegas, Nevada.
