When it comes to CSS styles, there are three different types: external, embedded, and inline. Each CSS style has a specific area where the code is written and it also affects different portions of the web site or text.

An external CSS is a type where the CSS is written outside of the HTML document and it is separate from the web page. This offers a big help when trying to create a uniform design. External style sheets can apply to one or all of the papers of a web site and can be created in other browsers that may show colors differently.
