The social issue that I decided on investigating is abuse. Abuse is defined as to treat in a harmful, injurious, or offensive way. There are many different kinds of abuse and is susceptible to anyone at any age and can happen to anyone and has been a problem everywhere for a very long time. Physical abuse is often the most easily recognized form. Sexual abuse is any type of sexual contact between an adult and anyone younger than 18. Emotional abuse can be the most difficult to identify because there are usually no outward signs of the abuse. And neglect, which is difficult to identify and define.
