Overview Beginning in the late 1700s, the industrialization of Victorian Britain completely shifted the country to be set up to be the international leader that it is today. Before, Britain was an agricultural based economy. The country and its people made a living off of the land. If products were being produced that were not grown, they were being made in small-scale shops, usually in peoples homes.
