First, where does the word myth come from and what does it mean? The name comes from Greek word 1mythos, which means a story or word. (Doyle, 2004) The word myth is popularly used to define or describe ancient history stories/ narratives from different cultures that were considered to be real and important. They involved 2traditional or legendary stories with or without real facts or natural explanation that included beings with supernatural powers, heroes, god and goddesses, and events phenomenon in nature. (Unabridged, 2014) The statement "it's a myth" means and used out of context when a something is believed to not be real. For example, walking under a ladder is considered to be bad luck.
